About Krynica-Zdrój
Krynica-Zdrój, known as the Pearl of Polish Spas, is nestled among the valleys of Beskid Sądecki. Its mineral waters have been renowned since the 17th century, with the town officially recognised as a health resort in 1807. Popularised by Prof. Józef Dietl of the Jagiellonian University — the father of Polish balneology — Krynica quickly became one of Poland's most fashionable resorts, attracting artists, writers and performers, including the world-famous opera singer Jan Kiepura.
